The View from The Shard Planned Maintenance (January-March 2026)
To ensure we continue to deliver the very best experience for our guests, we will be carrying out essential improvement works between January and March. During this period, certain areas of the attraction will be temporarily closed at selected times. While we aim to keep disruption to a minimum, please be aware that:
- There will be no stair free access between Levels 68 and 69 on selected dates (05 Jan-16 Feb).
- This may affect guests with limited mobility or wheelchair users, as alternative step-free routes will not be available during these times.
- Additional partial closures of areas within the viewing platforms may also occur.
- Valid for 12 months

You’ll be allocated 2 hours to fully enjoy this experience. Afternoon Tea themes may change seasonally throughout the year. Available to book January - mid November, Sunday to Friday (12:30-16:00). Blackout dates apply. Advanced bookings are essential and are subject to availability. A discretionary service charge of 15% will be added to your bill.
The Fine Print
This gift voucher features a unique reference ID code, may only be redeemed once, may not be exchanged for cash, replaced if lost and is non-transferable or refundable. The gift voucher must be presented upon arrival in order to redeem the experience. No phone screenshots or photocopies of the original voucher will be accepted. No guarantee can be made that guests are able to redeem vouchers on any specific date.
2026 blackout dates apply: 14th -16th Feb (Valentine’s Weekend), 3rd - 5th April (Easter Weekend), 15th March (Mother's Day), 24th - 26th Dec (Christmas), 31st Dec - 1st Jan 2027 (New Year's) and Bank Holidays. Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed until at least 72 hours after the purchase date. A discretionary service charge of 15% will be added to your bill when dining. T&C's are subject to change without notice. Due to popular demand, advanced booking of at least four weeks is recommended for weekend bookings. Please note that the afternoon tea offering changes depending on the season.
